How to get here
Flying – If you are flying you will need a bike bag or at least a large cardboard box to get your bike on the plane. Most of the airlines will take bikes and we are only an hour from Edinburgh airport and 1-3/4 hours from both Glasgow and Newcastle. There are taxis that will take a bike, but a better option is to hire a car or give us a shout and we will try to arrange a pick up.

Train – Another option is the train, National Express, Virgin and Scotrail run regular trains into Edinburgh station and we are about an hour away. The number 62 bus runs down to Innerleithen but a better option is to hire a car or give us a shout and we will try to arrange a pick up.
Road – It’s easy to find us, here are some directions: -
From Edinburgh – There are two main options. One is to travel via Peebles. The other is to join the A7 from the A720 Edinburgh City Bypass at Dalkeith. Head south through Gorebridge. Just past North Middleton, turn left onto the B7007. This merges with the B709 after about 14km, which leads straight into Innerleithen village. Arriving in Innerleithen village, turn right onto the A72 (towards Peebles) then look for the turn off on the left for the continuation of the B709 (Traquair Road) before the end of the village. The house is on the right after 50m.
From Newcastle – Follow the A696 and then the A68 through Jedburgh. Just past Newton St Boswells, turn left onto the A6091 through Melrose. The road becomes the A72 just by Galashiels. Follow the A72 to Innerleithen village. Go through the centre and look for the turning for the B709 (Traquair Road) on your left towards the end of the village. The house is on the right after 50m.
From Glasgow – Head east on the M8, then turn off at Newhouse to take the A73 via Carluke to Lanark. From Lanark, take the A721 / A72 via Carnwath to Peebles. Continue through Peebles town centre on the A72 and on past Glentress to Innerleithen village, around 10km further. Shortly after entering the village, look for the turn off to the B709 on your right (Traquair Road). The house is on the right after 50m.
From Carlisle – Take the A74(M) to junction 15 (Beattock) and turn onto the A701. Continue on the A701 the road through Moffat. About 11km past Tweedsmuir, turn right onto B712 (signposted for Stobo). After around 12km the road meets the A72. Turn right and head for Peebles. Once through Peebles town centre, continue on the A72. Go past Glentress (on your left) and on to Innerleithen village. Shortly after entering the village, look for the turn off to the B709 on your right (Traquair road). The house is on the right after 50m.
From Dumfries – Take the A701 towards Moffat. Continue through Moffat on the A701 and join the B712 (signposted for Stobo). Follow the B712 to the A72 and turn right onto the A72 towards Peebles. Continue through Peebles town centre on the A72 and and on past Glentress to Innerleithen village, around 10km further. Shortly after entering the village, look for the turn off to the B709 on your right (Traquair Road). The house is on the right after 50m.
